Today at the New York Times International Luxury Conference – being held, of course, at the Versailles Palace (above) in Versailles, France – HP Inc. introduced two limited-edition diamond-encrusted, 18K-gold notebook PCs for the diva in your life. Designed by jewelry designers Tord Boontje and Jess Hannah, the notebook PCs are based on HP’s new 13.3″ (diagonal) HP Spectre, the world’s thinnest laptop.
A limited number of devices from each designer will be auctioned at the Cannes Film Festival in May, with the proceeds going to the Nelson Mandela Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Nelson Mandela in 1999, and organized to promote Mandela’s lifelong vision of freedom and equality for all people.
The HP Spectre by Tord Boontje (below) features an ornate graphic pattern that integrates cherry blossoms, florals, a peacock, and butterfly, all with 18K gold-plated accents intertwined with embedded Swarovski crystals.

The HP Spectre by J. Hannah (below) features a top and back completely plated in 18K gold with a highly polished finish. HP’s logo is encrusted with diamond, while the keyboard deck is plated in 18K gold to match the top cover, and the power button is covered with diamonds.
